Today, we’re talking about avoiding Founder burnout.
Founding a company is extremely demanding, and everybody struggles with the rigors of the job at some point. Here are some of the tactics used by successful founders to avoid burnout:
1. Healthy routine
It’s simple: Good diet, exercise regularly, and sleep properly. But almost no founders get it right, they like to run their bodies on empty. Your body needs fuel, rest and motion to be your best at work; so don’t risk your intellectual performance by neglecting your basic physical needs.
2. Take vacations
Many founders “don’t have time” to take a vacation. But you will see significant productivity and motivation gains after a period of genuinely unplugging from your email. If you don’t give yourself time off, you’re denying yourself the chance of maximum productivity.
3. Get outside
Web3 is cool, but fresh air has a magical impact on your mood and overall wellness. Even if you’re working day and night, there’s time to take a 15-minute walk outside, and you’ll feel much better for it.
4. Build a support network outside of work
Nobody makes it by themself. The burden of building a billion $ company will require you to have friends you can lean on outside of work; people who are there for you, regardless of your professional success. Maintaining these relationships is part of your job, and you will certainly need them.
Best of luck out there.
